Dr. Jamie Maki
Dr. Maki graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1992. After graduation, he returned home to Sudbury to practice with Mario Peloso and John Skilling. Together they formed Skilling, Peloso and Maki Optometrists. In 2001 Dr Monique Binks joined the practice and it was renamed New Sudbury/Val Caron Family Vision Centre.
After 17 years in partnership Dr Maki decided to move closer to his busy family and opened Jamie Maki, Monique Binks Optometry. He joined the Vision Source network, North America’s premier network of private practice Optometrists at the same time.
He is a member of both the Canadian and Ontario Associations of Optometry as well as the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. He is treasurer of the “TNOH” hockey league.
When he is not working at his second job (chauffeuring his children around the city), he can be found spending time in the great outdoors with his family skiing, golfing, camping or at the family camp on Long Lake.
